Two years ago, I read about the supply chain management; its definitions, levels, importance, etc. So, I came up with the following:
((If I want to summarize and simplify the whole thing:
“The supply chain” is a group of steps a company takes to transform a raw material into a product (or service). And “the supply chain management” is a process used by companies to ensure that their supply chain is efficient. The APICS defines it as: “The design, planning, execution, control, and monitoring of supply chain activities…” It has five stages: plan, develop, make, deliver, and return. The supply chain management activities can be also Categorized into: strategic (relationships with suppliers and customers), tactical (decisions about production and delivery), and operational (daily management of supply chain.)
I know it’s more complicated than that, but this is just a brief.
Now, after reading about it, I had an idea. What if we apply the supply chain management on everything in our lives? I mean whenever we have a project or anything we want to do, we can use the stages of the supply chain management. I don’t mean that we will always have to produce something at the end (the product can be happiness or success…). I’m talking here about the management itself; making sure that all the stages and aspects of ‘doing anything’ are going well. We can also apply it on everyday life, planning for ‘a day’ and getting a good result at the end of it. This is ”day chain management”.
Then I had a bigger idea. What if we apply it on our life itself? I mean “life chain management”. In this case, we are the raw material. And we will have to manage all the stages, activities and everything in our life efficiently to live a happy life –in which we fulfill all our duties- and to be finally and hopefully delivered to heaven. But the important question is “How to?” this can be good in raising kids. The baby here is the raw material. And the process of raising him/her should be managed carefully. Thus, the kind of human being the baby becomes, decides what kind of delivery we have.))
Crazy but interesting, huh?
I really wish things can be that easy, and that we get the results we deserve to what we planed and worked hard to.
